Default Model 27-6 questions

This is my first S&W revolver. It's a 27-6 but I can't seem to find much about a -6. Any info will be greatly appreciated. I would really like to know its birthday and if the stocks are original. I added a pic of the label on the box if that will help.

The M27-6 came out in 1993, and the M27 was discontinued in 1994, so yours was the last series made before the M27 was revived in 2000 as the M27-7. Someone else will be along, I'm sure, to answer more questions or correct me if I'm wrong.

The 6 1/2" barrel was reduced to 6" on the N frame .327 in 1967. Also on the 44 Mag M29 in 1979. Other models followed suit at various times in that general period.
