After the death of my father I decided to build a revolver. This started out as a JGSales round butt frame
Smith & Wesson 10 Revolver, 38 Special, No Barrel, Round Butt, GSS, CAI Mark, Used, S&W.
Ended up being a very easy 200$ with shipping and transfer.
One of these barrels.
S&W Model 10/Victory .38 5" Barrel - SARCO, Inc
Its actually a 38 S&W barrel, but the one I bought slugged to .357 so I used it though it has a very unusual 5 groove rifling.
Totaled out to 18 Dollars to the door.
Couldn't get proper ejector so I used the stainless ones.
Smith & Wesson Extractor Rod S&W 64-3 65 66 67 617 619 620 648 Over
Smith & Wesson Center Pin S&W K-Frame Model 10 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19
that came out to just under 25$ to the door.
A very fancy conversion grip
Hogue Monogrip Grips S&W K L-Frame Round Butt Conversion Rubber Black
An absolutely wanton expense at 38$
A lot of time making a wrench out of a broken plastic cutting board and some leather and I have my first revolver.
280$ for a revolver made in the US, this is what the 60's must have felt like.
And for the curious, this is how it came out, and how it does at 25 yards with me holding it.
