Looks like an Allen wrench to me. For removing weights?

I don't own one, but my guess is the compensator is held in place with a hex bolt.

Funny enough, it's just a metal bar...no keyed end or anything. It appears to be heat treated. At first I thought it was some "whoops" thing that came with my gun...but then I saw it on GB sales where it shows it in the picture.

The compensator is held in with a hex bolt (or screw), you can see the allen wrench for it in the pic, it's in the bag with the second compensator.

The Allen wrench is in the plastic bag with the lead comp; the L shaped bar is used to turn the comp when removing and installing them.

You can tell the difference between the comps (jacketed and lead) by looking at the ports that exit in front of the sight and go through the barrel shroud, the comp used with lead blocks those ports.

Default Maybe a TEA

Maybe it is a TEA. Military acronym: Tool, Extraction, Assist,

Looks from the photo that it is just about twice the length of the cylinder, so maybe those 460 cases just don't come out that easy.

Don't know cause I never have shot one, in fact have only seen them in the "new" shelf at LGS, and haven't even handled one.

Sounds like they do have appreciable recoil, so maybe this thing beats carrying around a wooden dowel or pencil.

If you need assistance with extraction you have a problem and requires intimidate attention. The case of 460 should and does extract just like all other brass revolver cartridges loaded correctly.

The length of the bar (which is round end to end) is to provide adequate leverage to twist the comp in and out.

Exactly... It’s good to know that I’m not the only guy who reads instruction. They actually include some useful information, hidden between all the legal jargon!

I know a sure fired way to find out what it's for ....

Toss it in the recycling bin , within 6 months after they have picked up and hauled off the tool to be recycled .... You will Need that sucker!

I had a charger that for years I didn't know what it went to . Got tired of looking at it and tossed it .... a week later I find my electric travel razor in an old bag ... Son of a biscuit eater !!!
Found out exactly what that charger went to !
