Default Disassemblng X-Frame Cylinder

Took the cylinder off of one of my 500 Mags. I was execting to see springs inside that remove easily as a youtube video I saw.

Disassembled the crane but the springs seemed "captive". The extractor rod moved completely normally.

Must be a way to fully disassemble it. I'm certain several members here know, please share.

Gun probably has a thousand rounds through it but hardly nasty. Thanks, Don

Don the X-frame cylinder assemblies are a different form the smaller frames.

The ejector rod needs to be unscrewed, need to be careful not to bugger it up.

To disassemble: turn knurled end clockwise, remove nut and slide the yoke off. Be careful not to mar the knurl. I use a wood shims pin under pliers.
Then using a drill chuck, turn extractor rod clockwise to remove the extractor assembly. They make a tool for this but drill chuck works fine.

Note:all threads are counter-clockwise to tighten
