Default Model 66-2

Good afternoon,

I just picked up a 6” model 66 on a trade a few days ago and was trying to figure out its birthday, because I need another excuse to eat cake. The serial number is ADT456x.
It has gouge grips on it, could they be original grips? I had a 686 I purchased new a long time ago (first gun) that came with similar type grips. Any help would be appreciated, if I figure out how, I would add a pic or two. Thanks!!!

It looks like 1984, I don't think Hogue grips started until some time in the 90s but I'm not positive.
