Barrel Alignment - Model 60
To zero my new 60-15, I had to adjust the rear sight blade all the way left, which caused me to notice my barrel is over rotated compared to the top strap. I've read about S&W issues like this dating back 5-10 years ago. So with those that experienced this issue, is it a routine job for a gunsmith or do I need to send it to S&W?

That's unfortunate but seems to be a common complaint on this forum. Send it back to S&W on their dime and they will fix it. Good gunsmiths are rare in FLA plus you have a 2 piece barrel and the hacks around your parts would most likely ruin it. Takes a special tool. No more just wrap it in leather on a vise and turn.

If I may ask are you referring to a "new to me" full-lug 60-15 or the new 60-15 PRO with the angled under-barrel lug and flat sided barrel?

Its a new Pro Performance with slab sides. I bought it in June and it's already been back to S&W once after the trigger seized. They replaced 4 parts and returned it 8 weeks later. Now this. Take a look at the pictures I attached and let me know what you think...

Had the same problem with a 60-15 I bought new about 5 years ago.
Sent it back to the factory on their dime, and got it back fixed in two weeks,
Mine was the non-pro double lugged barrel version.
Might as well let the factory fix it for free,

Sounds like you have had bad luck with S&W.
They have always fixed everything I sent in the first time
and it was less than a two week turn around each time.

Common problem.
I have one that is on it’s way back on it’s second trip to Smith for the same problem you are having.
As someone else has said, Smith has apparently decided to make the customer part of the inspection process.

No one should have to send multiple guns back to Smith for quality issues.
Extreme wear and tear are another issue.
