Default Looking for info on a 632-2

I have a S&W J-frame 327 Magnum it is a 632-2 with a fluted barrel. I understand these are somewhat rare, if there is anyone that can provide information on this, I would appreciate it - or the direction I should go.

The side plate which usually has a pro-series stamp is absent and the caliber marking is not stamped either.

Does it look like the images I have posted?

They are a very desirable firearm.
They will command a high price.

I suspect that someone polished off the 'Pro Series' and the '.327' badging that the factory placed on the gun. Easy enough to do.

Did you buy it new?

My father purchased the gun from a person who said it had been specifically manufactured to be used at one of the Shot Shows. So, I do not think that any engraving was polished off - as it was intended to be used only at the Show. The 327 barrel marking is absent and not been removed.

Thanks for sharing. I'll reach out again to S&W -
