Default Reloading with sporting pistol powder.

Hi all
First time posting on S&W site. I am trying to come up with some
mild target loads for my 38 special J frame. I have 158 GR. and 125 GR. jfp bullets and picked up a 1 lb. of Alliant sport pistol powder. I don't no if reloading recipes are allowed to be discussed this site either way if some one can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. I all so have other powders I use for 9mm & 45 like tite group and some others but I am more interested in tying the sporting pistol powder ... Thanks all

Go to the Alliant website, they will most likely have loading information for various calibers and bullets. This is a fairly new powder and I am not personally familiar with it.

This thread is most appropriate for the RELOADING forum, not this one.

Welcome to the Smith & wesson forum.

I use unique for my leadcast, 45acp, 38 spec, 44 spec, ect. I get more loads out of a can of powder with unique. As far as target loads each gun can be different, you need to make up a few rounds with each load and test them in your gun. I test at 25 yds. There are no short cuts. You need a reloading manual.
