Default True Love....

Yesterday, I went to the gun safe to look for something I haven’t shot in a while. I looked over the little guns, past the sea of black plastic, and behind the high capacity “nightstand” guns....

I peered back in the corner, in an area that is populated by other heavy metal with sexy round cylinders instead of the ever-present straight laced spring loaded magazines.....

My heart got warm as I slowly removed a 686 from the depths of the cold and dark safe.....

Beautiful lines, balanced weight, and a smooth trigger...... Holding a 686 makes me smile.....

Nice grips!
Zebrawood?
Looks really great on stainless.
Might have to make a set and see if it holds up to that blaster.

Very nice!

It does sound like you have to rearrange the contents of your safe...

I agree Coastie.......I rearrange the contents in my safe on a regular basis.... I sometimes go to my safe because I think I want to sell something.....and then, when I pull that particular gun out of the darkness, I just can’t do it..... it would be like turning my back on a member of the family.

My heart is with the older k frames and N frames. Besides s&w the ruger RedHawks get punished. After seeing mikulac shoot and explain the k and l frames I’m interested now.

Thumbs up

I bought my first L-Frame shortly after they were introduced, carried L-frames on duty for several years, and have owned several since. They remain a favorite of mine, and still have one.

There are lots of interesting hightech guns, but stainless revolvers with beautiful wood grips are timeless.

Beautiful piece..... nothing like smooth stainless steel with the tight radius on the edge to make it feel like a work of art....

Agree. A fine revolver remains timeless for the same reason that the finest wines in the world will never be bottled with a screw-on cap. A quality cork not only performs its function but it brings with it the history and tradition that, for a moment, makes time stand still..... The same feeling is there with a fine revolver in hand....
