Default Help identify this revolver

I ran across a revolver with a strip about 3/8 inch wide of what looked like maybe nickel around the cylinder in the location of the cylinder stop notches. What is it?
Well not the revolver but the strip.

Pretty vague description. A little more info might help. Make, model... Any other modifications?

Cylinder and Slide offers a custom package that includes polished flutes and a polished band at the back of the cylinder. It may slightly reduce drag from the cylinder stop between the notches, but I think it’s primarily cosmetic.

MagnaPort offers custom revolver packages that includes polished bands on the cylinder, but those are strictly cosmetic.

My LaRocca 65-5 Ladysmith includes the polished band. As was said, theoretically lessens drag of the cylinder stop.

Adios,

I checked the revolver agsin. Its like the 65-5 Lady Smith.
Its a 686-4 with a 3" barrel. Probably should have bought it. No lock. 6 shot.

A 686-4 with a 3" barrel? Yes, you probably should have bought it for anything under a grand. That is the pinnacle of the 686 line, well, maybe 2nd only to the CS-1 series.
