25-7 coming home soon!
After looking at several 25-5 and one 25-7 revolvers I picked the 25-7. This is one of the 1 of 2000 made in 1989 .45 Colt with the non-fluted cylinder.
Looks to be in great shape, after talking with the owner, and the price was right. Check in the mail and should see it in couple weeks.
From what I read here and other sources these have a good rep. of being great shooters.

I think you've picked a great revolver. I have a 25-5 in 45 Colt that I really enjoy. I usually take 3 revolvers from my collection each time I go to the range and for some strange reason, the 25-5 seems to be a regular guest.

I had a 25-7 and it was superb. Very accurate with any load I tried. You will be impressed.

Congratulations!! You made a good choice. Just a tidbit of info though, mine shoots about 3 inches high at 7 yards, with the rear sight bottomed out. There have been reports of others shooting high also. The answer is a shorter rear sight, which I do not want to install. It is a really great gun as is, so I adjust. I think mine needs some range time this week. :-)
I hope yours is dead on! Either way, they are a joy and you have an excellent gun. Mine is very well made, and I expect yours to be also!!

Congratulations on a wonderful addition to your Smith & Wesson family
The 2000 pieces of the 5" Model 25 with the unfluted cylinder, product code 100924, actually began at the -7 engineering revision and was produced through the -9 engineering revision. It is unknown where the split occurred
Your fellow Forum buddies that own one of these are all Very Happy with the revolvers.
Yes I know mine is dirty . . . . I need a new picture
Until I acquired one of the Heritage series Model 25s, this Model 25 was my most accurate but I think the Heritage revolvers' have barrels that are air gauged, I just forgot to what accuracy

A great gun to be sure.
I am very happy with mine. You should and likely do know though that they originally came with Pachmayr grips from the factory.

Congratulations, the 25-7 is a nice revolver. After many years of searching I finally got one at an auction in August. I’ve really enjoyed shooting it since I got it.
