Default S&W 27-7 (6.5" barrel)?

It's been quite a while since I have been to this forum..

I have two S&W 27-7 (6.5" barrel, 8 shot made for Bangers) that I am considering selling. I believe only 100 6.5" ones were made. I have numbers BNG0063 and BNG0100. I have never shot BNG0063 and have shot BNG0100. I believe I have all the original paper work, case, etc.

Does anyone know what the current market would/should be for these right now?
I am thinking of listing one on GB and possiblyselling one to a friend that wants to use for competition shooting.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Yes, 6 1/2" in length with a planned production of 100 pieces

So many owners keep them for long periods

With only 100 examples produced and far less than that getting sold, it is difficult to predict what the revolver would bring on the secondary market.

I think one sold here on the Forum over the summer, but then my memory is getting bad these days

It will bring several thousands of dollars and up at auction

If you are going to put one on GB just let the bidding go where it takes you

Those results will give you a ball park to work from for your friend

I am a BIG fan of the 8 shot Model 27s

I have had mine since they came out and they will not be sold in my lifetime

Arrow Smith & Wesson 27-7 Bangers

A forum member sold his 6.5" for over 3K on GB some months back. At least that's my recollection. I can't find it on GB advanced search at this time.

That may have been me and if I remember correctly it was closer to $3300.

I also had the original shipping box too.
