Folks,

I saw some 6" S&W 686 for $580, and a couple of 64's -5 and -7 for $290.

A couple of 6" GP-100s for $550.

Oh, and a couple of 5903s for $330.

Unusually high prices on .40 Glocks, relatively speaking.

The days of $300 .40 Glocks has passed. They are bringing $500 right now. Parts kits are bringing that on eBay.

My first off duty gun was a Colt Cobra (still have it) that I paid $85 for in 1968. It’s still in excellent shape, save for the bobbed hammer that was done for an undercover assignment, but I hesitate to think what it’s worth today.

Well, that site is saving me money, because I can't find anything! Even their search brings back nothing for "Smith Wesson 64".

GT gets some good stuff. They get a lot of police trade-ins.

There are a few pieces on their gunbroker account but most are in their stores. At the Chattanooga location today there were some k frames and some GP100 and Sp101s. There were three Colt Official Police in decent shape that came from PA. There were more 3rd gen S&W autos than I have seen in probably 10 years.

An update as of 1-5-21 GT Distributors in Orange Park, FL had:
A lot of Beretta 92 FS trade ins at $399.99 w/2 magazines down $100
A lot of Glock 42s at $359.95
Ten or so S&W Model 64's assorted dash numbers $299.99 down $50
Two S&W Model 5903 $329.95
A lot of SIG 229s $399.99
The revolver prices at least are down to 2019 prices, local for NE Florida.

I live in Port Orange (near Daytona) and keep saying that one of these days I'm going to check GT out.

I'd bet when you call most places nowadays that are advertising revolvers and pistols in stock, you will be told they are out of stock. Just like at Academy Sports, every now and then they will get some handgun ammo in stock, but it is scooped up immediately by all the old men (I'm one at 67) who camp out in front of the store early each morning before the truck arrives. I'm not going to do that. When the ammo arrives, it is priced too high. Sad times and no end it sight for the near future.

Sooner or later, the 'heirs' will be selling all that 'junk'.... I'll just wait... :-)))

I live about 6 miles for the GT Dist. store in Dallas, I'll give them a visit after lunch and see if anything is shaking.

Their online presence only has Glocks in 45GAP from the FL HP although they are only $289 and look to be in good shape. But that caliber......

Who watches the watchers?

I got there today at 10, took a number and waited my turn. Around 11:15 they brought the revolvers out from the back. A handful of nickel Taurus 82 4” rubber grips at $200. 4 64-5s, 3 with wood grips, and a handful of 64-8s with rubber grips, all at $290. I had them bring out the 3 with wood grips and performed quick bore and function checks. They are very thorough there, I left at 12:30 with 2 of the 64-5s with wood grips. After lunch, I checked the guns more thoroughly and found the back strap of one stamped Detroit Police and an inventory number. I like that, but really should have spent more time looking (or bought all 3).

When you say online presence I assume you are only talking about what’s for sale on their website. They have a decent amount on gunbroker right now.
