My 25-7 arrived today!
Seems to be a very clean one and checks out very nice with a smooth DA trigger pull that feels lighter than my 629-2E.
Checked the cylinder throats and all measure .4515 with one chamber being a slightly tighter .451
The custom grips feel good in my hand and will get out to my range in next day or two to see how it shoots.
From what I read a 6 o'clock hold on target is a good place to start with my 250 gr. bullet loads.

Very nice! Congrats! I have a couple of the stainless versions (3" & 6"). Sweet!

They really seem to be great guns!! Mine is very smooth and very tight, just an excellent piece of workmanship. The action was very heavy, so I lightened it a bit. Mine will shoot a bit high and others have reported that too. But not enough to try to mess with. Have fun!!

This one could have been lightened up a bit over the years too. It is nice and smooth on the DA pull.

Congratulations on picking up a great revolver. I bought one at an auction back in August, it’s proven to be a really terrific revolver. One of the nicest revolvers I own.

Thanks all! Found it on Guns International and looks like I made a good decision on this one. Have several loads to try and see what it likes.

The 25-7 is probably the best built of all of the S&W 45 colts. No throat problems like some of the pinned barrel 25-5 guns, the short cylinder of the 25-3 guns.
Enjoy it. Big heavy bullets, moving at a decent speed that will knock down anything from a rabbit to a big bear

Really nice 45. Great balance with the barrel length. Nice all over. That one will be fun to shoot and play with!

Yes...it feels good in the hand and hope to get to my range this afternoon or tomorrow. Kinda of cold out there this morning.

Good looking gun. I lusted after one of these after aquiring my 25-5 but, I've never scored one, yet.
