Largest frame?
What’s the largest s&w frame size in 22 lr? I like to practice with the 22 lr and save the larger calibers. I have a colt officers target model revolver built on the 41 frame. I was wondering if there’s a larger frame s&w bigger than the k22?

I'm going to say no. But can't be sure if they make something recently.

There was supposedly a one-off special order N frame Registered Magnum produced in .22lr. Find it and it would be worth as much as a winning lottery ticket!

I previously suggested on "The Wish List", S&W should come out with a 11-15 shot .22lr N Frame. Surely if they get 10 rounds into a K Frame cylinder, they should be able to push the envelope on an N Frame cylinder. And it could be something light like a 327 R8 M&P TRR or similar.

What’s the next size smaller than a n frame?
Maybe ruger has something?

The L frame is the next size down from the N frame. I've never heard of an L frame S&W in .22 LR. Ruger makes the GP100 in .22 LR. That's the Ruger equivalent to the L frame.
Realistically I can't imagine any larger frame than the K frame 617 10 shot would be something many people would be interested in.

Chad Gripp (Gripper) has posted about a Triple Lock converted to .22LR, and I and a few others have 1917s that have been converted to .22. But nothing from the factory larger than K frame produced in .22.
As pointed out above, the Ruger GP100 is probably the largest DA revolver available in .22.

Dunno about y’all, but I can fit dang near 15 rounds of 22LR into my X-Frame 500 S&W Magnum.

I’m thinking it’s nice to practice with a larger framed revolver in 22 lr. Then I can have the same feel well similar feel in the magnums.

If you have handled a full lug model 17 or 617 in 6 or 8 3/8" barrel lengths, they are plenty big. The problem is there is more metal than in a .38/.357 K frame of similar lengths so they don't balance the same. As mentioned above an .22 with an alloy frame/cylinder barrel may get you closer to a centerfire but not much chance S & W will make one.
