Well, I paid $541 for mine. . . .back in 2009. I'd be surprised to see one offered where I shop for less than $1000, more likely $1200 and negotiate from there. Maybe a couple hundred more if you had the box/papers. Good Luck.

Default S&W Model 631

OP
It is a shame it is leaving your ownership. Someone will want it, they are very sought after.
I have box and docs with mine. I had a winning bid on an auction early this year. Paid just under 1000, thought I got a bargain.
There are folks who will want yours.
I like mine, a small gun with a little bit of bite.

I paid $1,300 (no box/papers) for mine in 2018 when I still lived in Kalifornia, but the market was tighter due to roster restrictions.

I have the same stocks on mine, but without such great character as yours have Bill. They fit and feel better in my hand thane the factory combats. Mine was a gift from a wonderful friend, and he got it from his brother when he passed.

He kept it in a fruit bowl in his kitchen, and is now known as the "fruit bowl gun". LOL! They are great shooters and pack a decent punch.

I'm waiting on a caliber conversion kit for my Dillon 550 press, so I can shoot it more without fear of not finding their somewhat hard to find ammo.

Smith & Wesson should have made them longer, as they are very sought after. I've seen them bring upwards of $1,500 without the box and knick knacks. Pushing 2K with everything.

My Fruit Bowl Gun will be in my care for as long as I am able to shoot & care for it. Trying to find my pictures on this phone is like searching for water in the Sahara Desert.

Great little fun gun thayn61, you should shoot it a bit longer before giving it up.

I bought mine when they first hit the market. I am a BIG fan of the .32 S&W Long as well as the .32 H&R magnum. I have carried mine many miles when hunting edible small game. Mine has had mostly my home cast bullets through it, particularly after Starline started manufacturing their excellent .32 H&R Mag brass. I feel quite fortunate with mine as my handloaded .32 S&W Long as well as the .32 H&R Mag will shoot under 1" at 25 yards off a rest.

They are dandy field pistols and also lots of fun on the range!

Every time I visit friend Dale53 he has to hide his Model 631 until I leave. At best it would be covered with drool and fingerprints and at worst it would "accidentally" end up in my luggage when I left (not really, but we joke about it!) If you weren't in the wrong part of the country, I'd be on your doorstep making an offer including but not limited to my first born! (Since I'm a bachelor, I'd probably have to come up with some cash instead!) While not rare, there seem to be a lot fewer of those 631s out there than there are people looking for them.
