Default Safariland 002 for 625JM

Hi Folks,
I thought I would post and pass on that I ordered a Safariland 002 holster for a 4" K frame to use with a 625 JM.
It worked out pretty good. It was too tight, so I took out the screws and spacers and used a heat gun along the spine until it softened up a little. While it was warm yet I installed the screws and just snugged it up to the gun. Once cooled I reinstalled the spacers, applied blue Loc Tite and snugged it up again. It would take great effort to bump it out forward. I mean it takes a gob of pressure, more than I can imagine ever happening, to get it to pop out forward. It takes very little effort to lift it up where the muzzle clears the strap at the bottom of the holster and go to a shooting position
Mine was 29.09 shipped from Amazon

and a lefty can find one there for around 18.00
This is a affordable, fast and secure range set up.
I always come here looking for info and found little to confirm if this would work. It does, and I hope others can benefit from this info.
Thanks
Mike

Got a left hand version based on your post, delivered yesterday. Not sure if it's a slightly different version, but it claims to fit everything from a K to N frame.
Thanks for the tip!

Default 6" maybe?

Hi Jay,
Glad you could use the info.
I have been using mine some and like it. The weather is getting cold and keeping me inside. We have a break in the forecast and I might get to the range again later this week.
I have another tip I have learned. It might not work for you but mine likes it. Missouri Bullets make a 200 grain round nose cast bullet. I had them around for a picky XD/M. They go easy into the gun in moon clips and 4 grains of WW231 and 1.263 oal shoots a cylinder full inside 1.5" @ 25 yards from mine.
It's a mild shooting, accurate hoot.
Best of luck with yours
Mike
