Default Vintage Boxes

Ok so I finally scored on a Model 13 3" RB. I'm a little obsessive about having period correct boxes for my older revolvers and I've searched eBay and all of the usual places online and can't find a box for a 3" 13-2. Do any of you guys know of good places to look for old Smith boxes?

I have quite a few boxes and based on what I have I don't believe their is a specific size for a 3" in the 2 piece style box. Hopefully someone can verify but I would think a 2.5" or 4" size box would be correct.

You could post a want add on this Forum. I have purchased a few on eBay that were in excellent shape and period correct for the Revolver it will house. You could post a wanted add at your local gun range or LGS too. Sometimes guys even give them away - just keep asking around. Gun Shows might also have some.

The Tulsa gun show is coming up. The boxes will be there but I doubt there’ll be bargains.

Yep, the Smith & Wesson Collectors Association has many members who are interested in and actively collect the boxes as complementary to the handguns. I have seen a lot of really nice, scarce and interesting boxes bought/sold/traded among the Members of the Association.

I suggest that you consider joining the Association which, among many other benefits, will give you access to a network of Smith collectors.

I have a box for an N Frame but need to be re-flocked. Anyone know who can do that? I don't really need it but I thought I'd get it re-flocked & put it with the rest of mine. My best guess is when I'm gone they will be either given away or thrown in the dumpster. My sister in law gave me one for my Schofield!

Their inventory has been reduced by the recent madness, but the first place that I would look for period correct anything relating to firearms is Collector's Firearms on Westheimer in Houston (713-781-1960). They still have some good guns in their online inventory, but very few bargains.
