Default 335 thunder ranch front sight

Hi all,

I left my local gun store with a 325 thunder ranch today! I checked it over really well in the shop, but when I got home I realized that the front sight was very loose. I called Smith and Wesson customer service, and they promptly sent me a return shipping form to have it looked at. Upon further examination, I guess Smith and Wesson has spring mounted front sides and some models. This does happen to be one of them. I was not aware of this, and neither was the customer service person I spoke to LOL. I’m wondering, is it normal to have a fair amount of play with that site though? It really wiggles quite a lot – but I guess it is held into place. Just wondering what “normal“ is for these, as I don’t believe I have this on any of my other performance center revolvers.

Mine moves around some but takes quite a bit of force to remove it.

Some are super tight & hard to get out and others are easier but it shouldn't wiggle around.

Are you sending it back to S&W?

It's likely if the wiggle is front to back that the spring/rod that holds tension on the blade needs tweaking.
