Default Model 29-10 Classic 4"

I hope I get this right but I am looking for a close manufacture date for the 44 mag I just purchased. I had to wait outside for 5 minutes till they called me in, then 30 minute wait till someone helped me out. When they brought the gun to me it was obvious it had been handled many times. But it had a crisp lockup and I figured I couldn't find another so I took it. Serial Number is DNB9776 Model #29-10 and a 140 marked on the opposite side. Any help with manufacture year would be appreciated

IF it came with a fired case, the date on the envelope should be very close.

Well I thought maybe just ask Smith and Wesson. Sent them an email this morning they just responded with 11/11/20. Great customer service, along with great products, I am hooked for life!
