Default S&W Model 65-5

I just picked up a S&W Model 65-5 and added Culina Birdseye Maple Combat Grips. The 65 came with Ahrends Combat grips which I put on a S&W Mod 64-2. Really have wanted a 65 3" for quite awhile.

There’s another one of those “just right” guns.

Congratulations.

I had one for sale in the classified section a while back.
Sold it on another forum. Two days later the buyer backed out.
That didn’t break my heart. I will keep it now for a little while longer.

I just got a 64-5 4inch. It is DAO, and a tack driver. Now I guess I have to find the 3 inch. It just never seems to end.

As I'm about to leave my LGS after doing the paper work on the 65 one of the guys says to me wait a minute. I know you are a S&W guy let me show you something before you leave. He walks over to the safe and pulls out a NIB Model 36. All the paper work and tool kit. Had a "J" serial #. $650. I was going to go back today but resisted. Now I'm not so sure if that was a good idea. LOL
