Default Performance Center Master Hunter 629-4

Any information about Performance Center Master Hunter will be appreciated. How many were made ? When? Approximate value ? ETC.

I can't help you with the number of these made but I do know most were produced in 1997. I never got ahold of one but was able to get one similar and harder to find. It's a 629-4 Master Hunter Scope Only, made with no front sight and rear sight left off. It was unfired after it left the factory until I got it and is one of my sweetest shooting 44s.

I was told 250 made when I purchased it but haven't verified. Here's a pic of the box label if it'll help you.

I forked out 12 bens a few years ago for it. With gun prices climbing there's no telling. If it's a PTP sale or at a LGS you may come out OK.

So hard to choose one, but it is likely my favorite 44. Shown here next to a newer PC variant; I like the RSR more.



And I shoot it damn well, which probably adds to the liking.



I have never seen that scope only model, but it is a slick beast. I did watch a LNIB version like mine, but with a 7.5" barrel, sell for $1200 on GB some months back. I thought about it, but let it slip away.
