.32 Magnum Target Stainless Model 631
I was fortunate to bring this one home today.
It will finally round out my 'wants and needs' beautifully in the .32 calibre arena. Maybe...
This is the .32 Magnum Target Model 631 with the round butt, four inch barrel, and adjustable rear sights.
Oh, and six rounds of .32 Magnum.
Gotta love those stocks. I know I do.
Model 631 serial BEZ2935
And, if you think this is a 'cut and paste' story.
It is.
Same story, new gun, today. Ha... Gotta get them while you can.
Anyway, enjoy.

bdGreen,
I got you beat by 203! Mine is BEZ2732 but I bought it new in April 1991. It’s the gun that started my love affair with the 32 caliber. I saw it at a local gun show and thought it would be the perfect companion to my model 63. A center fire reloadable kit gun when a 22lr wasn’t quite enough for the job.
I must admit your stocks are prettier than mine though. Now if we can only convince S&W to make us a model 616 like green frog had made.

I swear(at bdGreen) the man finds every loose 32 Mag out there! He is a magnet for 32 Mags! Actually, I envy the man! Still looking for a 632 Pro! My latest find was a 16-4 , shooter grade, reamed for 327, and 500rds of factory ammo! Hope the weather warms a little soon! I want to get out and shoot it! The gun that S&W should have made!

Model 631 no dash
I have one bought at a Kull auction in Topeka about 10 yrs. ago. There was one other bidder who happened to be sitting next to me. He dropped out after I bid $1k and it came to Iowa. Serial number is BFN 0266. I haven't had it out in a very long time. It has the wood stocks. I have shot it and I handload for 32 H&R Magnum. BFN serial numbers show both 1990 and 1991 in The Standard Catalog(4th).

I would like to see them.
Seems the stocks are all configured the same, but, the coloring quite varied.
And, that 'other bidder' is probably a member here and has been cussing you for 10 years.

Fellas,
Those are some nice 631s. I surely wish I had bought one when they first came out.

A very good friend received this one when his brother passed away. He gifted it to me almost a year ago. I love shooting it, and plan on casting my own bullets for it when my supply runs out. They are great little guns for sure.
The smooth targets seem to fit my hand better than the factory combats do, but I'm keeping them together. And I'm going to keep the little 32 magnum too.
In fact I'm loading for it this week, and shooting it if it warms up a wee bit.
