Default S&W model 69 4.25” barrel extractor rod

I’d like to remove the extractor rod to clean inside the cylinder well. The 69 has a different rod than other L frames. On other L frames I put the extractor rod knurled end in a padded vise, turm and loosen.
The 69 has a separate knurled nut that unsrews from the rod. How do you remove the extractor rod from a 69?

I used the search function and used a keyless drill chuck as someone suggested. Worked great.
