Default 686 3” PLUS Barrel on Older 686-4

I have a 686-4 with a 6” barrel and found a good deal on a 686 Plus 3” barrel?

Will it fit properly?

It will fit but the stampings won’t be period correct. An experienced eye will be able to tell it’s not original

I really appreciate the fast reply! This is a shooter so the markings wouldn’t be an issue.
