Default Model 60-4

Bought a used model 60-4, serial number BFY76xx. Any info appreciated. It looked like the gun might have been dropped and the front sight was damaged, I changed out the front sight for a Hi Viz. part #1002, which is for S & W's, 3" barrel or longer.
Now I can't get it sighted in. shoots about 4-5 inches high. The elevation screw is already all the way down. I used factory new 130 gr ammo to site in because my carry load is the HST 38 spl.,also 130 grain. Should I resight with 158 gr. ammo? Any other obvious fix?

The most obvious suggestion would be to use a taller front sight... if you still have the original (damaged) sight available, measure that and try to duplicate its effective height. You may have to spend a little extra effort on it, but trust me, it will be worth it. My 60-4 is one of my all-time favorite guns.
