Hi Guys!
I have a 3" mod 36 that has seen better days. It's got some serious finish problems. I'm considering sending it back to S+W to have a new finish and a trigger job.
What's you're view on this? should I send it to Cylinder and Slide or some other Gunsmith? or should I through it in the back of the safe and forget about it?

I have a similar post going below you (model 36, D.O.B. and rebluing). The guys advice not worth the money to reblue. I did some check and S& W gets $190 standard blue, $235 polished blue and $145 glass bead blue ( a matte) You can ship direct without a FFL just pay shipping cost.

I found a gunsmith 10 mile from me
WWW.gunblue-homestead.com off the gunsmith page of this forum
He is $135 matte, $155 factory blue and $ 185 high polish. I am going with him because of location and price.

Hope this helps
