Default Mainspring Swivel

Can the older metal mainspring swivel be used as a drop in replacement for the modern polymer ones?

What model gun are you talking about. The XYNLK all have a metal 'stirrup"m that connects the hammer tto the main spring. The design has changed but it is still metal. There is a "plastic" piece in J frames more recent J frames that guides the bottom of the spring strut. Is that the one you speak of. There is an after marked metal replacement. Numerich has metal ones part 81 on the 36-9 schematic Product #: 312150A $7.50

Yes, I have replaced a few of the polymer with the metal ones and have had zero issues.

Yes, I replaced both a 431PD and a 432PD with metal ones.

A deep socket swivel would work better than a washer.
The metal and plastic swivels and weight to the j frame pull. I have used lock washers and bent washers to fill the "seat".
If someone could make a deep seated swivel, it would sell.

Can someone post an image of what is being discussed? I do not believe I have run across this species.

Ditto - I'm also interested in seeing a pic of what is being discussed.
