It needs some gun powder fouling on the front of the cylinder and forcing cone. Other wise it's beautiful.

Very good purchase, I really like your revolver, now to look for ammunition and test how it shoots.

You're a better man than me if you can shoot magnum loads with those wooden grips. I'd slap some Pachs on that little beauty and give her a spin!

Great pick up, congratulations! A lot of firepower in a very compact package. My 29-3 with a 3 inch barrel is my favorite woods gun.

I'm not going to argue with you, that's a beautiful gun. Very nice combats on it too. Those aren't that plentiful here in the states, you were VERY fortunate to run that down in Italy! Congrats.

Very nice. I may have it's twin brother. My grips & box date mine to 27 Sept 1988.

Nice, I had one a few years back, but mine was Magnaported, and I shoot mainly my cast 255 gr. Keith style bullets, a no go with the Magnaport, so I sold it. On my list non ported.

I'd go a step further and say put a set of Hogue,Smith X frame grips that cover the whole backstrap and really enjoy your revolver!

Stocks (grips) are an individual preference. I do not want material over an N frame's back strap because the trigger reach is already too long. Rubber Hogue Mono-grips make .44 Magnum recoil the most comfortable for me. I wish I could write that about nice grained wood but I can't.

That sure is a beauty!! It is a fun gun with a mild load. I like a 200 grain bullet and 6.1 grains of Trail Boss. Save the full loads for special occasions!

Do you reload? Where do you shoot in Italy? Do they have strict gun laws like the rest of Europe? How hard is it to find a gun and then to actually make the purchase?

I will second Bhfromme's recommendation about shooting magnum loads with the finger groove combat grips. I've switched over to Pachmayrs on many of my N-frames.
