The serial number is AUP 0928

Any help would be great

More information would be better. Open the cylinder and look for a model #. Should be on the frame and look like MOD. 15-3. Also caliber? Barrel length? Pics?

You've got a K frame .357 Magnum. Looks like a 4" barrel with adjustable sights. Someone else can narrow down things like dates. I don't have that info. These are nice guns. I wouldn't recommend a steady diet of light projectile full house .357 loads. Other than that, shoot it! That is what it was designed to do, after all.

Probably early 1987, according to a search here of ‘AUP’
