19-5 snub, what to do with it ?
Well here she is, a 19-5 snubby not in as bad of shape as I was led to believe, it has some kinda weird stain on the side plate, but other than that it's not a bad get for 300 dollhairs... How'd I do lol?
She's wearing her orgional (no number) magnas and some SQ butt Tyler Ts until I can get some houge bantoms or a RB Tyler T...
I ran 50 threw it and I'm not to sure how I feel about it..
I thought I was gonna have it hard chromed but I may send it down the road as it's not the beat around gun I thought it to be....
Thoughts, opinions?

To recap: you got a nicer gun than you thought at a screaming deal of a price, and you want to sell it? Did it print 36" groups at 7 yards?
Personally I would bask in my good fortune, at least for a few days.

Those Remington rounds are old technology but would appear to be highly effective. Enjoy!

You got that for less than $300? And it shoots well?
Quit your bitching and count yourself fortunate.

Another head-scratching thread... What am I missing here? I assume the gun is not hot? You’ve got this nice 19 snub, better than you expected, for a very good price, and you don’t know what to do with it? You’re kidding me, right?

Look, the gun is obviously causing you some confusion. Sell it to me for $400. Confusion gone. Extra c-note in your pocket. Plus you can keep the old ammo for your collection. I think it's a fine solution. You?

Everything shoots well at seven yards. With .357 ammo, these guns can throw an unbelievable flame from the barrel. However, with .38 ammo, they are much easier to shoot well than a J-frame, even if they are bulky and heavy by comparison.

In the DFW area you would have to bring another gun and a mask to get that kind of deal. Looks pretty good to me.

I haven't seen factory wadcutter ammunition for sale for years. Not sure who, if anyone still makes it. Even before the virus hit!

You'd have to turn the calendar back 30-40 years and maybe even then you couldn't touch a snub 19 for 3 bills. In todays world if you could find one for sale you would likely pay 800-1000 for a snub 19, seller must of been drunk high or holed up in a cave for 50 years.

Those are really nice guns but I keep wondering why more of them weren't made with 3" barrels and full length ejector rods. Meanwhile I have owned a coupla them and a 66. They are cool...........

I'm pretty sure they were under $300.00 when I bought one new about forty years ago, maybe a little longer. They were easy to find. At that time, everyone was looking for the snubnose 66, a very hard-to-find gun.

Lemme know if you’re still unhappy and I’ll take it off your hands for $350 and I’ll pay shipping.

I think most of the major manufacturers still make them. Finding them is another matter.
I still have a couple of boxes from Fiocchi and S&B that I picked up maybe less than 2 years ago (I can't remember exactly when I got them).

I just picked these up at the range a couple of weeks ago. Yes, they are full of factory ammunition.

No, some gentleman brought a few boxes of them and gave them to one of the range officers. He knows that I shoot a 52, so we worked a deal for these. If he has anymore I will get them also. These are just going to stay stashed as I reload and can duplicate them no problem.

I'll take it off your hands if it's a problem. PM me and we'll talk turkey.
I have a 19-3 and it's my favorite revolver. Shoots like a laser at 25 yards. I could certainly use another one for a truck gun.
It isn't a square butt. Any rd butt K frame grip will fit it.

Low bid. I'll go 6 bills. Standing offer. Somehow I think the OP is pimping this revolver. Mods need to look at this.

I'm surprised the square butt Tyler Ts fit the gun, they so move just a bit, seems like finding a used Tyler would be easier than ordering a new one?
I haven't take this one to distance past 7yds, maybe I'll do that before pimping the dang thing out hahaha

Beautiful gun. My M19 snub is in similar condition, which makes me feel bad about carrying it, so I don't.
These days I have a Kimber K6S or 2" Chiappa Rhino in my pocket most of the time, and they do about the same thing as the M19 but with less style.
But I would love to find an actual beater M19 snub for $300 - that sucker would see some belt time.

Why do you say it is a sq butt Tyler T? Shouldn’t they be the same since a square butt gun can be made a round butt by modifying the back strap and set screw hole?

If you aren't sure about your purchase at 3 beans sell it to me for 4 beans and be happy with a $100 / 25% profit and we'll both be happy!

Correct me if I'm wrong but ....
Had the gun been crapped up as thought you'd have gotten what you expected. No problems on what to do. But, the thing actually turned out much nicer so that milky sideplate is spoiling the deal a bit. It's "this close ...." to being perfect. But it's not.
I'd either hard chrome it or sell it.

Great gun! Great price! Keep it!
What would you buy with the money you got for it? Definitely not another 2.5” 19

A M19 snub in that condition bought for $300 would meet the legal threshold for Theft by Receiving around here.
