Default Question About A 686-6

Wondering about this M686-6

Guy said he is selling this for his father.

I have not seen one without a full underlug barrel, and was curious if someone would have info about it.

Thanks

I also was unaware of the 686-6 jbtrucker is asking about but I can write the 5" 686-5 zwartepiet found an ad for is a different gun. The 5" 686-5 was a pre-lock revolver made about 1997. How long is the barrel on the 686-6 in the original post? It's probably just the camera angle but it looks longer than 6".

The barrel measures 7” from the face of the cylinder.

I could be tempted into letting go of a few dollars for that one.

The '3 5 7' Talo series had 357 on the grip, unfluted cylinder and 3", 5", 7" barrels but they show as full underlug.

Oldman, I looked up as many examples of the Talo series that I could find, but didn’t see any with the partial underlug.

Found one example on GB with 7” full underlug in picture attached.

BTW....I did end up purchasing the one in my original post and the owner said he did not have it modified.

Still interested to hear more about this variation if someone has seen it.

Thanks!
