Default Gunsmith Sight Job...Who Does It and What have You Seen that you Like?

Hey all.

At some point in the future I’d really like to send my m65 3-inch to a gunsmith or good shadetree gun mechanic and have a nice, easily seen set of sights installed in it. I’ve seen examples done on J-frames before but I can’t recall seeing them on other sizes frames. The sight work I’ve seen looked great. I can’t recall the sights used or the smith, but when it was done the sight picture was worlds better than the factory setup.

Anyway, I thought I’d ask you guys if you know of any wheelgun smiths that do such things. I hope there’s some out there that do it without charging a fortune for it.
Naturally I haven’t thought about the sights I’d want. That’s a ways off yet. I’d like to get input from the shop that’s doing it. First baby step us to find shops that do it.

Please help if you can.
Thank you all kindly for your time and any help you can give.
Have a great weekend and keep yourself and families SAFE from the KUNG FLU!!

Larry

Here is my Model 19 Combat Magnum. I sent it to S&W about 20 years
ago and had them put the Patridge sight with McGivern gold bead sight
up front. I like it a lot, but I need to have some kind of light behind me
for the gold bead to show up.

Karl Sokol from chestnut Mountain sports I’ve sent many customers to him when I had my retail store but I have several guns over 20 built by him from 1911s to Smith & Wesson revolver’s he can do anything his work rivals the performance center. I have one of my Smith and Wesson j frame they’re 36 square buttt I sent out to Karl just now. I having him send out to have nickel boron plating and install AO Big site on the front he cuts out the blade and machines in the Big Dot. He’s made me set of sight he’s done on my 2 inch SW 15 where he dovetail the front sight and took out the adjustable sight and made a non-adjustable sight in the rear he can do anything you want beside trigger work dehorning Bead blasting Etc

Dragon 1 - Another plug for Karl Sokol. I sent my Colt's Gold Cup to him
around twenty years ago. He put a lot of quality part on it including a
commander hammer, his reliability package, and his Mountain Tuff finish.
It has been extremely accurate and 100% reliable ever since. Here is a
photo, on the left.
On the right it resides in it's favorite holster. A gift made by my
friend Red Nichols, along with the Sidewinder belt, also by Red.
