The ammo/component supply has me wondering about acquiring any more. I went to the range on Wed for the first time in 2 months due to a bullet shortage. I have to try to limit my shooting now if I want to continue the rest the year. I just have to assume the shortage will continue into 2022.

Welcome to the club Pete, I've also trimmed down my collection to 20 and, so far, am not giving in to the high prices. There is only one revolver I might give in to, if I could find one, a 625-? 5" in .45 Colt. Let's all hope things get back close to what they were a year or two ago, but I do believe that's just wishful thinking!

I'm 28 and have been collecting since I was 21. A Model 19 started my addiction and I've grown the collection since.

My focus now is on old law enforcement revolvers. I'm paying high prices for them, but they don't come up often.

I'm not sure what I'll move onto once my want list is complete. I've been kicking around the idea of getting in Walther PP/PPK's

I'll be in the minority I guess. Leaving CA in about 18 months for Oregon. CA is expensive as hell for older Smiths, even newer ones that aren't "on roster". Was just offered a Model 37, 2" for $1,000.00 - no box, nice shape though. Pass. Did buy an excellent 2" RB Model 12 - for $1,100.00. And a plain old used M&P semi in 40 S&W ... for $750.00. No reach-around on any of those BTW.

I have found some good deals. The 3" Model 24 mentioned in the OP cost me $625.00, a little Escort NIB was $325.00. But by and large. Ouch.

Going to another state, where a) I can get them and b) pay only a bit more than I'd like looks pretty good.
