Default S and W Govenor

I just purchase a govenor and shot today. The 45 colt ammo shot well but was unable to shoot the 410 2 1/2 inch Aguila shells. They were new shells fresh out of the box. The gun did shoot 410 shells 2 1/2 made by hornady. Has anyone else had problems like this or could there be a problem with the pin. What are the best 410’s to shoot

Mine digests every 410 I've tried; Win AAs and several other brands although not Aguila. I use to think the Governor was S&W's worst idea ever. . . .until I bought one. Great gun to carry in snake country and effective on about everything else too if needed. I've been surprised at how effective the 410 shot shells are; two skunks at 15+ yards with 7.5 shot. Just might try it on dove next season.

My Governor seems to have problems with foreign made .410. It has no problem with any American made ammo.

Thanks for posting this, Mjr126, and the others who responded.

New Governor and nothing but light primer strikes. Sent gun to S&W. Got it back, and the same thing happened. I'm using ... Aguila! Hopefully Capttjk1 is right and my American gun doesn't like foreign ammo. Sounds good to me. I'm hoping to keep the gun, but I need one that goes bang, not click. I'll post back after USA ammo. Thanks again.
