Default 681 Range Report Volume 2

Well I shot the 681 today, with two noticable differences.

1) I remembered to put on my hearing protection before firing the 1st shot

And

2) I put the target grips that came with it back on.

Now, I was very pleased with how the revolver shoots. The trigger is awesome. Smooth in double action, light in single action.

It shot better than with Magnas. The targets are better looking, for sure. but if this was my carry/duty revolver I'd be looking at Hogue or Pachmyer grips. I'm not generally a fan of rubber grips on a wheel gun. but I think that this one would benefit from them.

That said, it shot well. 25 feet indoors. 158gr FMJFN Freedom Munitions remanufactured, all shots double action. No issues.

I have Pachmayr Gripper grips on my 681. The gun is a laser with them on. Wood is pretty but I haven’t tried a wood grip that feels as good or let’s me shoot as well as the pachmayr.

Glad you remembered your ears this time !

Those target grips are beautiful, as is the 681. Congrats on a nice gun !
