Default It followed me home so I kept it.

Picked this up tonight. Really happy. Been wanting one a LONG time. 686+ 3" 3-5-7 edition. Everything looks perfect. Barrel is NOT over/underclocked. Everything is as it should be. Had to wait for an hour to get up to the counter to be helped. Once there, though, everything went smooth. Background check came back approved almost instantly. Seriously, he entered it in the computer and I asked him how long he thought it would take and he said it was already back and approved. How the hell do you run a background check in 3-5 seconds? Whatever, good for me. Only issue was they had no .357. Was allowed to buy 2 boxes of .38s. Choice was American Eagle 158 gr. lead or Doubletap +P 110 gr. lead free SC-HP. I took the Doubletap. Still can't find magnums anywhere for less than a kidney.
Anyway, I'm happy!

i have a concealed permit. in texas that eliminates the background call. i understand though. i find it amazing and a bit discouraging the way my debit card works.

on one hand kind of cool. on the other hand the darn thing knows how much money in my account. troubles me to think about it.

Dr. it hurts when i do this. well "don't do that" krs

I carry that same gun every day (mine has the fluted cyl). It's by far my most-carried and I love it. A Milt Sparks Summer Special IWB or a Simply Rugged pancake OWB depending on what I'm wearing and where i am.

A fantastic revolver. Congrats!

Those 3-5-7 guns, when originally sold as TALO offerings, were so popular that Smith started carrying them as cataloged items.

They also started my fascination with unfluted cylinders.

Enjoy your beautiful revolver ! It’s another one of those ‘just right’ barrel lengths.

I almost bought one with a "groovy" cylinder, but I really wanted the smooth. Took me along time to find, but I'm glad I kept looking. I need to place an order with Kramer now that I have the gun. Actually need to order about 3 holsters from them.

Yeah, and with the RB I think it will be a great woods gun in a crossdraw setup.

Very nice pickup. The 686+ 3" is one of my favorites to shoot, it is so well balanced. You'll enjoy the .357s once you run across some, happy shooting!

I thought about it. But I need a couple of N-frames. And J-frames. And a High Power. I could use another 1911 and maybe a CZ-75 or 2. Then there's.....

See? And you thought getting this 686+ could satisfy your addiction...you've got it as bad as the rest of us! But hey, there's nothing wrong with that!
