Rejunvenated grips
I have a S&W Model 48 that had grips that the original finish was getting well worn off. I use a product called Rejunenate on my wood laminate floors. It does wonders in making the floorslook like new again. So, I wondered about using Rejunenate on those old grips.. I first used the 'cleaner' part of Rejunvenate, then the 'polish' part. Grips now look brand new, but without the high gloss finish. Easy to use, took about 20 minutes (mostly drying time). Rejunvenate leaves a very good protective finish.

I tried Rejuvenate on a .22 stock and a set of grips some time ago just out of curiosity. The finish looks good like you say but lacks any type of durability/resistance to the elements etc.The .22 was carried/stored in the gun rack of our side by side and the finish wore poorly after a year.Ended up redoing with Tru Oil.YMMV JMO
