You could be in the right spot. S&W made the Model 60 without model number revision from 1965 until 1988. The vintage of the gun and the condition will effect the value. Pictures and the serial range would be helpful.

I paid $325 for a no-dash 2" a couple of weeks ago with rubber grips, a few scratches, but tight. No box

A little over a year ago I paid $325 for a mod. 60, no dash, pinned barrel w/out box or papers. It was in very good shape with a little bit of use. Service grips did match the gun.

Very nice gun. I recently sold one, in the original box, for $400 and am already regretting it.
