I have located a Used one of these for $690 OTD.
Is that GOOD?? Are these revolvers "All That" or should I just pull my Mint 25-2 out of the safe and start shooting it?
Thanks for all help!!

I think it's apples and oranges. The 4" JM is a totally different gun than the 25-2 to me.

$690 for a used JM is a bit high.

My local pusher had his at $750 - same as the 627 Pro or 686SSC - new. Add tax, and you are at $795, so your's is 13-14% off - not too good for his shop - excellent for the other side of town where a dealer likes MSRP. I guess it depends on the area - and the revolver's condition. If it's really LNIB - everything there - shows little if any use, ie, few rounds shot, it's not a bad deal today. You really can't pay too much for a good revolver.

If it is 'like new' - check the trigger 'feel' - those grooves in the hard-chromed trigger are sharp - I eased mine with strips of emery cloth in situ on day one. Neat package, of corse - love that spring-loaded front sight - easily changed.

Remember, if it's a store - he has to make money to stay open. If an individual, he wants as much of his moola back as possible. In either case, try $650 cash OTD... have an extra $20 or two, of course.
Good luck!
