Question Model 610 values?

Thinking about letting go of some of my collection and was wondering what the ballpark values might be?

S&W Model 610-2, 3” Lew Horton. Gun only in excellent condition sporting a set of Ahrend finger groove combat stocks.

For a photo please check out my #12 post in this thread.

Model 610 has a new home.

S&W Model 610, 5” barrel.

Gun only in excellent condition.

There are photos, see my #1 post in this thread which is the same as the thread noted above. It has the correct combat stocks but when I took the photos I had swapped them out for the Ahrends from my LH 610-2.

Model 610 has a new home.

As noted, just looking for a ballpark value has I hadn’t seen either selling on GB.

I’ve got a bunch of metal full moon clips so figure 20-30 clips with each revolver.

Hit me up if you decide to move the 3”. The prelock 610’s have not climbed in value over the last two years like other prelocks, or at least not to my observation. Maybe because they are making 610s with locks or maybe the 10mm is loosing its appeal. It had a resurgence about eight years ago. There is a 3” 610 Lew Horton that did not sell on GB for 2k and it is new in box. I would bet both of those, if nice but just missing boxes, are $1500 plus.

Thanks for the reply. I believe 10mm is quite popular and that popularity is increasing. That being said I’m thinking that popularity is geared more towards semiautomatic pistols and not revolvers.

For me personally I’ve always felt that the ability to shoot .40 S&W, in addition to the 10mm was a nice feature due to the availability and popularity of that round in in law enforcement. Things are changing in that regard.

I just did a GB closed sale search on 610-2, 6", I'm sure the 3" is worth more. One sold for $972, another had no bids at $1400. $1500 sounds high, although I owned one five years ago and sold it for at least that.

Bottom line is put it up for sale, see what happens. Not a lot of comparatives. Lots of guessing

610 no dash $1500-$2000 depending on condition and box inclusion.

Thank you for the comments. As noted by Triathloncoach it’s neither of these versions come up for sale/auction very often. IIRC they only made around 350 of the 3” and I’m not sure on the 5” but probably less than the other 4” and 6”-6.5” versions. Auction might be the best way to go.

Interesting post . I have a 6in 610-2 Classic with an unflutted cylinder , NIB . Not that I'd sell it , but if they are selling for that I might have to take it to the range with my 1006 and 1076 .

You pretty much quoted the reason I mess with 10mm revolvers. The 40 is an awesome round in a medium size revolver; it’s bigger than a 357 projectile, it’s energy falls between 38 and 357, and it’s probably the most common handgun round on shelves right now.
I have a 3” gp100 in 10mm but prefer Smiths. The 10mm revolver is just so versatile and a 3” n frame still carries well.
