M65-3 3" Barrel - Latest Family Addition
Wanted to share my latest addition. These 3"ers always amaze me with how well they handle, especially shooting 38's. They also seem to be getting harder to find nowadays.
I won the the pictured holster on ebay for my 3 1/2" Pre-27 but it didn't fit.
It fits this M65 nice and snug. The holster is old school, but then again, so am I.
If you have a favorite holster for your 3"ers, please share.
Thanks for allowing me to share my newest find.

VERY nice looking gun...
I've got the same gun but with Pachmayer Professional Compact grips on it...a nice match to the 66-2 3" I was lucky enough to find...
As was said...they just point and balance so great..

Congratulations, nice package of revolver, grips and holster! Your photos of the holster are much better than the eBay sellers. I had watched that one.

I love the grips!
I bought my 3" 65-3 two years ago, and it's been my EDC since. Mine sports Pachs, tho.

I love a 3" K-frame. To me its the perfect carry revolver.
I have two. A Model 10-8 and a Model 13-4.
Here's the 13-4. I carry it in this simple Don Hume holster. Works great and wasn't that expensive.

3” 65 Police Department Marked
The Model 65s are great guns in both 3” and 4” versions. Accurate, powerful and flat enough to carry inside the waist band behind the hip.
Here is a police marked three inch that had the factory combat stocks on it when acquired 20 years ago. The department marking MBTA stands for Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority. They’re now called the Transit Police.

I love 3" k frames! You got a great one OP. I have three at the moment, two 65's and a 64-3. Unfortunately, until I get home I only a a picture of my 65-2 and not my 65-5. You guys that have them don't need me to tell you what great shooters they are. I hope someday to collect a model 66, a model 10, and a model 13.

I love these 3” ks also. I have had a model 13 for a while now but just found this later model 65-5 a couple weeks ago. It has the newer style cylinder release button but still has the firing pin on the hammer. Also has a grooved front and back strap.
