10-7 3 inch round butt
I found this at Las Vegas Antique Arms Show. The outside is worn but backing plate does not have any tattooing so I don't believe it has been shot much. Inside had dried oil, barrel and cylinder were clean. The wood grips are worn so I replace with Hogue grips.

Great find, congratulations! I think those Hogue grips are great for shooting, but that M10 needs those Magnas back on.

That’s fun. I’m glad they didn’t throw the stocks away. I’d enjoy the 3” round butt with the wood for sure. Nice little find.

M-10 3" round butt is about as good as it gets in S&W revolvers for CC. Finish has honest wear but nothing excessive, also favor the magna stocks with grip adapter.

Nice score on that 10-7. I have a 10-8 with 3" barrel, and mine came with factory round butt target grips. You should pick up a set for your 10-7. The top right is my 10-8.
Here are some Target grips I have picked up over a long time looking.

Naaah. The Hogue makes it look badass. All business. That said, you really cannot go wrong either way. Nice gun.

I don’t think anyone has said it but that is a 3” non heavy barrel. Not nearly as common as say a 10-8 3” heavy barrel

I’d like to hear how you come up with that?

Others might disagree but standard barrel gives the 3" M-10 better balance. As for CC rubber stocks the Houge are ok but Uncle Mikes, Bianchi or Pachmayer were more compact for concealed carry.

There are quite a few model 10 threads around with many great pictures of the different variations
The model 10-7 was usually frame that accompanied a pencil barrel. A 10-6 or 10-8 would have been a 3” or 4” heavy barrel frame.
The standard 3” barrel also has a longer front sight than the heavy barrels
