I just purchased a 442, and have read that they ship them dry. Is this something I need to address? Should I and more importanly how would I go about this? I have searched this but want more information if possible....
Remove grip
Remove all the screws from right side of the gun
Slide yoke and cylinder off gun
Remove side plate
Now add a few drops of gun oil to yoke barrel (cylinder spins on it)
Add a few drops on the pins and rebound block.
Thats it, put it back together
see the faq sticky in smithing section for removal instructions if unclear.
