Default S&W 586 nickel

Just saw this S&W 586 nickel for sale locally, didnít even know it existed in nickel. Price is 1350 $. A bit pricey for Switzerland but Iím tempted. Thoughts ?

I don't think that would be too unreasonable here in the States, let alone Switzerland.

That is a nice revolver. Looks like an early model and in Nickel. Looks in great shape. If I had the money, I'd buy it.

Nice 586! I have a nickel 6” 586-1, they are a beautiful revolver and mine is one of the best shooting S&W’s that I have ever shot

The front sight on that revolver presents a very ďawkwardĒ sight picture (due to the shallow angle of the blade) that was hard for me to use. I never liked it. I traded a Patridge-blade early 6Ē 586 to get the red ramp version and always regretted it. The revolver itself is a great one, if you donít mind the sights. Every 6Ē 586 Iíve ever fired was very accurate and pleasant to shoot, compared to the Model 19s.

That is a classy gun! How you find em in Switzerland is amazing. I couldn't find that gun here in LA.

I had not, I was looking for validation from the enablers on the forum. But I have now for $ 1240

Itís just so pretty and shiny I couldnít resist. Seller says it was made in 1981. Not sure Iíll shoot it much. I already have a blued one Iíve shot extensively.

Some more pics from the seller

Default A little high in price perhaps.

But when are you going to see another one like it? Nickel 586s are very hard to come by here in the States. Especially really clean ones like that. In most places it would sell for what you paid for it fairly quickly.

Default S&W 586 nickel

Forgot to mention I am abroad on a well deserved beach holiday

I didnít stop checking the classified, just in case something rare and/or exciting passes by. I was secretly hoping that it wouldnít be the case, but this enthusiastic accumulator knows no rest.

I wonít have it in hand for a couple weeks but Iím quite excited about it
