I picked up my new-to-me 686-4 with a 6" barrel yesterday, a nice clean 99% revolver. Last night, I disassembled, inpected, cleaned, lubed and reassembled the little guy. This morning it was off to the range. It performed like I have come to expect from all my other L frames (681-3 4" CRPD, 686-2 2 1/2", 686-4 4" and 586-4 4"). Happpy, happy, happy . . .

NICE-looking Model 686! Pretty good shooting, too--EXCEPT that group looks like MORE THAN six rounds? Paulie686.

After five rounds, the left flyer was present along with a four round spread with a center piece. The last round blew out the center piece so it looks like more than six rounds, but it's six alright.
