Just purchsed a blued model 10-7 w/ 2" barrel and as it did not come with any factory papers. I could use some help identifiying the year it was produced. The serial number is ABE3990 - Thanks in advance

Hello Mark, Your gun dates to 1982 according to the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson. Considering that you are Mark1982 it just seems right. Bruce

have fun with the model 10. i picked up my first 10, (first revolver for that matter)in January. 10-7 2"bbl blued, around 1987. Very accurate, a joy to shoot. everyone needs a model 10 in their collection!
