I am slowly getting back into shooting revolvers after a long absence, and am working on a servicable battery. I currently have a J frame airweight snubby and L frame 4". I am looking for something in between, able to do double duty as carry gun and still enjoyable to shoot. I was thinking a 13 or 65 in 3" might be a good compromise, but they seem pretty hard to find. Any other suggestions for a good in between model without the internal lock?

A 2.5" 19, or pre lock 66 would fill your requirements.

A model 64 or model 10 in 3" is somewhat more available than the 13's and 65's as well. Good luck! Regards 18DAI.

A 4" Model 12 or 4" Model 64 with the light barrel are my recommendations. The 12 being closer to the Airweight and the 64 being closer to the L frame depending on how much weight you want in the gun.
