Mystery N Frame Wood Grips
Fount these 3 sets of wood grips in old box. Can anyone help with figuring out what they are? Pretty sure two are for N frames but not sure about 3rd. There were 2 plastic bags in box that may or may not had anything to do with these grips. One bag was labeled "Magnas N" and the other "R to Sq". The dark set appear to be old, probably walnut and possible refinished. Only mark is a small 5 stamped on corner. The combat set look to have seen little or no use. I can't identify the wood type and they have several marks. 50 is written on both with a felt pen. Oct 2, 1985 is stamped on one and other has a logo type stamp I can't quire read. It is a circle with a V and some other letter or number. The third set looks like mahogany and have no marks other than a stamped N. Pictures attached. Thanks

The first two look like S&W factory; non-diamond targets after 1967 or so and combats from the 1980s. Assuming they are N frame the targets are worth around $100 in that condition and the combats likely $200-$300. I don't know what the third set are, maybe Sile but I really have no idea. Check eBay, these come up quite often for sale.

They're all N frame stocks. The third set is an item I'm not familiar with and suspect they're not factory produced.

I would say the 3rd set is factory for k frame. the 50 is because they are a matched pair. This is based on my working in the S&W stocking dept 1969-1983.

Thanks for input, I'll check into them. May have been some confusion because only being able to upload max of 5 images at a time caught me off guard. The first picture in the second group of pictures is actually a fuzzy close up of the circle logo(? ) on interior of combats in first posted group of pictures. The other two pictures in that 2nd group are of the magohany grips. D

The 3rd set reminds me of Altamont, which I do understand did furnish factory stocks for some time.

The medallions on the third set look like they're eagles, not the intertwined S & W; if so, they're not factory (obviously).

I don't know what the medallions are, but they sure don't look like factory. The OP needs to post a close up. I've never seen factory stocks like that either, but I'm not up on the newer revolvers.
OP's medallions:
Factory S&W medallions:

Will post as close up a picture as I can get later on today. Took a look at medallion on 3rd set (mahogany ones) through a magnifier and its appears to be a standard medallion with intertwined S&W.

I can't make out the medallion in either photo, but your desk pad is in great focus!
Try taking a few more photos with the medallion in various positions in the camera field.

The second set look to be factory combats.
I’ll bet the 3rd set are Thai. Brass screws and escutcheons, non factory medallions and the color of the wood looks like some Thai grips I have.
No clue on #1.

The no1 factory has more lines to the inch checkering than no3. Catches the eye. Not sure no3 is factory

Looks to me like #1 is factory for SB N frame, #2 is factory Combats for RB (possibly N-frame like my 627-0), and third set looks like non-factory RB - SB conversion targets, likely from Thailand.

The third set (shown in post #2) is definitely NOT a factory S&W stock set.

I am guessing that is the new-fangled "ambidextrous speed loader cutout."
