The closest thing I can find in the Standard Catalog of S&W is product code #100930 - 5" .45 ACP with a blue cylinder, only 48 manufactured in 1995. The problem is that S&W was up to model number 625-5 by 1995. The same product code was also applied in 1993 to a .45 Colt model 625 but the book doesn't say anything about a blue cylinder for this model. What caliber gun is this and does the box have a product code on the label?
If I remember correctly even dash numbers were .45 ACP and odd dash numbers were .45 Colt indicating the one you are looking at is a .45 Colt. If yours is indeed the 1993 edition of product code #100930 (seems likely enough) then there were 1500 made.
